This menu provides access to the following functions.
If you want to import a “.vinoxml’ file, just place it in “C:\TheWineCellarBook\xmlImport” folder and select this menu option - see here How to - getting a .vinoxml file from WWW.
If you want to export to a “.vinoxml” file just select the menu option and export the wine, the files will be placed in “C:\TheWineCellarBook\xmlExport” - see here How to - Export to a .vinoxml file.
This option allows you to obtain from the Global Wine Stocks (GWS) site current values for your wines. This option is also available on the Vintages/Bottles - Bottle detail tab.
If you want drink information from a CSV (comma separated value) file, place it in “C:\TheWineCellarBook\xmlImport” and select this menu option - see here How to - Import from a CSV file.
If you want to start using bottle tags (e.g. the ones from Vinoté) but you already have drinks in “The Wine Cellar Book” you can use this option to assign tags to bottles in your cellar - see here How to - Assign bottle tags.
Caution
This option should only be used when you start using the bottle tags on a cellar where you already have drinks, do not use it for additional purchases as it will assign tags based on the quantity on-hand and not the quantity of the purchase.
This option allows you to consolidate bottle details, you can use this if by mistake you created an additional record of a vintage/bottle size you already have in your cellar.
